Griffith College, Mount Gravatt

Griffith College[1] is a higher education institution and pathway college, located on Griffith University's Mount Gravatt and Gold Coast campuses. Griffith College delivers higher education programs as a registered Higher Education Provider with the Commonwealth Government’s Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency.

Griffith College is registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students as required by the Education Services for Overseas Students (ESOS) Act 2000. In December, 2015 Griffith College rebranded from Queensland Institute of Business and Technology to Griffith College to reflect its role as a pathway college to Griffith University.

Griffith College has been in partnership with Griffith University since 1997 and has taught more than 14,000 students since then.

Griffith University

Griffith University is a public research university in South East Queensland on the east coast of Australia. Founded in 1971,[16] Griffith was opened in 1975, introducing Australia's first degrees in environmental science and Asian Studies.

The university has five campuses, in Gold Coast, Nathan, Logan, South Bank, and Mount Gravatt. The university was named after Sir Samuel Walker Griffith, who was twice Premier of Queensland and the first Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia. Sir Samuel Griffith played a major role in the Federation of Australia and was the principal author of the Australian constitution.

The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programs across a range of disciplines, including business, law, science, health, education, engineering, and the arts. Opening at Nathan as a single campus of 451 students, the University now has five campuses spanning three cities, the largest of which is the Gold Coast campus at Southport and the Nathan campus in Brisbane.

The Mount Gravatt and South Bank campuses are also located in Brisbane, while the Logan campus is at Meadowbrook.[17][18] Griffith University, with about 50,000 students enrolled from more than 130 countries,[19] is a verdant university and a member of the IRU. According to the 2021 Student Experience Survey, it has the ninth-highest student satisfaction rating among all Australian universities[20] and, since 2012, has received more Australian Awards for University Teaching than any other Australian university.[21]

Griffith University, Mount Gravatt Campus

Adjacent to Nathan campus with panoramic views of Brisbane, the campus hosts more than 4,000 students and offers degrees in criminology and criminal justice, education and psychology. The campus is also the base for research into critical social issues, including education and suicide prevention.

Like Nathan, the campus is situated on the edge of Toohey Forest and features a world-class health and fitness hub comprising a heated pool, indoor and outdoor recreation areas, fitness centre, 16-court tennis centre, a training oval plus basketball and netball courts. On-campus accommodation is also available, with catered single rooms in dormitory-style buildings and self-contained flats with single, lockable rooms available.

Griffith Bridge

This footbridge crosses over Smith Street Motorway on the southern boundary of campus. It's how you get to The Village accommodation. And did you know... the 40m high tower has been constructed with a 1:10 slope away from the motorway and weighs 52 tonnes!

Griffith Film School (S08)

Griffith Film School (GFS) is a media production baccalaureate college that is part of Griffith University, located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. Bachelor's degrees range from film and television production, animation and games design. It is housed in the heritage-listed former South Brisbane Library.

Griffith University Art Museum

A free contemporary art gallery in South bank, hosting exhibitions throughout the year. Griffith University Art Museum is also a custodian of the Griffith University Art Collection, a significant public art collection in Queensland of over 5000+ works.
